How to Improve Your Home’s Curb Appeal

We always want our home’s to look nice on the inside but the outside is just as important. Whether you’re looking to sell or you just want to improve the look of your home there is a number of things you can do to help improve the curb appeal of your house:

1. Flowers: Plant flowers in your front garden, in front of the house, along your paths, pouring out of hanging baskets – whatever suits your home best. Fresh flowers add that flash of colour that can give your home that much needed boost.

2. Garage Door: If your garage door is starting to look a little old and tired it may be worth giving it a fresh lick of paint or even replacing it to bring your house a little more up to date.

3. Front Door: You need to make sure your front door is looking its best as it’s the first thing buyers will see before they enter your home. Again, a fresh coat of paint could make a real difference.

4. Cut back any overgrown trees or bushes: You don’t want your front garden to look untidy or overgrown so make sure you keep any bushes under control, particularly if they are hiding part of your home.

5. Windows: Your windows need to look spotless – grubby panels and dirty glass won’t make a good impression. Give them a good thorough clean or if they’re really looking outdated you might want to think about replacing them. This will not only improve curb appeal but boost the value of your home.

When attempting to improve your home’s curb appeal the most important thing you can do is make sure everything looks clean, well-cared for and of course inviting.
